      balanced focus on muscular structure and function, anatomy, multiple massage
      modalities, business planning, client retention and preparation to sit and pass the
      National Certification Exam.

   Human Anatomy, Kinesiology and Physiology

  • General introduction of anatomy, physiology and pathology
  • Cells & Tissues, Skeletal System, Muscle System, Nervous System, and Endocrine System
  • Circulatory System: Heart, Vascular, Blood & Lymph
  • Digestive System, Integumentary System, Urinary System and Reproductive System
  • introduction to the basic principles of kinesiology, the mechanics of human movement. Students will study specific muscle actions and coordinated movements with emphasis on the lower and upper body.
 
   Pathology and Kinesiology

  • In-depth knowledge of pathologies related to body systems: inflammation, skin disorders, musculoskeletal problems and neurological pathologies. Students learn how to recognize major diseases and the appropriate uses of and contraindications to massage.
 
    Body Mechanics
